Hey mambo, mambo italiano~

Working on designing a chocolate bar package - I was inspired by the italian andrea stainer packages. Worked up a sketch, and now looking and different comps for type combinations. I'll pick one from those three and then continue polishing up the drawing itself. Ahhh... how I miss my trip to italy... I'd go there again in a heartbeat.

Working on a WWII 'comic' involving this character. I drew this illustration to get in the mood and also get a sense for how it will look. My 'comic' won't have dialogue and will be heavily reliant on just imagery and color for impact.

Character Sketches

Some character designs for my next project which is going to be historical fiction. It's loosely based off of the Dutch famine of 1944. I'm re-using the guy from my windmill illustration as I enjoy doing that with my original characters, as well as it being appropriate... haven't thought of a name yet for him.

Did this for class. Lately I've been reading "Going After Cacciato" by Tim O'Brien, and this sort of inspired this picture. I wanted to try expanding my subject matter, while still keeping my style and quality that I have for picture books.
